Chyle E. Beaird, MD is a Family Medicine Physician.  He attended California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) where he obtained his B.S. in Biochemistry.  Dr. Beaird was the first freshman to perform research at CSULA, where he also published and presented his findings at various conferences around the nation.  Dr. Beaird received his medical degree from the University of California Irvine, College of Medicine.

During his medical training, Dr. Beaird worked for the Los Angeles County Health Department (LACHD), where he performed AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) Surveillance, documenting new cases of AIDS and other opportunistic infections that were soon included in the revised definition of AIDS put forth by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and NIH (National Institute of Health).  Dr. Beaird participated in those discussions to revise the definition of AIDS between Los Angeles County Health Department and CDC, for the 2 years he worked with LACHD.

Dr. Beaird performed a Limited Internship in Surgical Pathology at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California.  He also performed an Internship and Residency Training in General Surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.  In addition, Dr. Beaird completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California.  Dr. Beaird received some of his Sports Medicine Training while in Family Medicine Training; and continued his training with the California Athletic Commission and USA Boxing.  Since 2000, Dr. Beaird has been performing Ringside Medicine/Sports Medicine as a Ringside Physician for both the California Athletic Commission and USA Boxing for Professional Boxing, Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts/MMA; and Amateur Boxing, respectively.

Dr. Beaird has worked in the field of Occupational/Industrial Medicine for over 15 years, helping those with work related injuries.  Dr. Beaird has served as Interim Director of Pediatrics then as Interim Medical Director at Drew Health Foundation in East Palo Alto, California, in between residency trainings.  Dr. Beaird has worked for Kaiser Permanente, West Los Angeles, in their Surgical Emergency Department handling both surgical emergencies and traumas.  He has worked at Mission Medical Center of the Western University of Health Sciences, where he taught both medical and physician assistant students’ primary and urgent care skills.  Dr. Beaird has also Co-Directed a Chemical Detoxification and Rehabilitation Unit at Tustin Medical Center, Tustin, CA and Doctor’s Hospital, Norwalk, CA.  Dr. Beaird has trained under and worked with Paul Wallace, M.D., of Wallace of Beverly Hills (; a trained Dermatologist and Plastic Surgeon.  Dr. Beaird has also worked in many different clinics throughout California performing Urgent Care, Primary Care and Occupational Medicine.

In 2005, Dr. Beaird started Total Body HealthCare, Inc. to address the health care needs and minor injuries of dock and union workers in Long Beach, CA, while still helping his colleagues in their practices in Southern California.  Dr. Beaird began performing Medical Cannabis Evaluations in 2008, recognizing that ‘Alternative Medicine’ has been the mainstay of medicine for thousands of years before Western Medicine came into existence.  Dr. Beaird views Western Medicine as an extension of and not contrary to ‘Alternative Medicine.’  In 2010, Dr. Beaird moved Total Body HealthCare, Inc. to Lake Forest, CA; and subsequently relocated to Foothill Ranch, CA, after a major flood when unsafe working conditions prevailed at the Lake Forest Office.

Dr. Beaird’s approach to patient care is to treat the entire patient, taking the mental, psychosocial and physical needs into consideration.  Dr. Beaird believes in a combined approach to disease processes, control and cure, realizing that all the answers haven’t existed in one branch of medicine; but together viable options exist for everyone!
